The University of Évora hosted the Science and Technology Week and the Renewable Energies Chair was present
The University of Évora’s Renewable Energies Chair group convened last week in Castelo de Vide for their annual meeting, where pivotal strategies were established to advance solar energy research and strengthen collaboration among research units.
The 41st edition of the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) took place from September 23 to 27 in Vienna, Austria, bringing together participants from over 60 countries with a common goal: shaping the future of solar energy.
On September 17th, the "first major dissemination event" of the MSA-Trough project took place. With the theme "Design of an Innovative Parabolic Trough Collector – The MSA-Trough Concept," the webinar gathered around 50 participants.
On September 19th, the event "Agricultural Production & Energy Production: Two Challenges. Two Countries. One Solution." took place as part of the AGROVOLTEP project, co-financed by the European Union's Interreg POCTEP 2021-2027 Program.

The University of Évora, through the Renewable Energies Chair, the Spanish Solar Energy Association (AEDES), and the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), jointly organized the 19th Iberian Congress and the 15th Ibero-American Congress of Solar Energy (CIES’24). This event took place at the Colégio do Espírito Santo from June 19 to 21, 2024, gathering around 130 participants in the most significant and historic meeting of the solar energy sector.
