New meeting of the Implementation and Monitoring Committee of the Futuretech_H2 project

The Implementation and Monitoring Committee of the Futuretech_H2 project, led by the Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs (FEDEME), held another coordination meeting. During the meeting, the most recent progress and the upcoming milestones in the development of this cross-border initiative were discussed. The project is part of the 3rd Call for Proposals of the Interreg VI-A Spain–Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Programme (POCTEP) 2021–2027.

Among the topics addressed, a sharing session was held on the following issues related to the different activities linked to the project:

Activity 1: progress of the work carried out, selected beneficiaries for the services, and review of the timeline and expected results.

Activity 3: review of the training programme, analysis of questionnaires and reports, and completion of students’ qualifications.

Activity 4: planning of the tour and the Spanish–Portuguese Forum, including venues, schedule, and division of responsibilities.

Activity 6: review of the status of communication obligations of partner organisations and of the results transfer plan.

Activity 5: budgetary details.

Through this project, which is being implemented by a consortium made up of six partners from the regions of Alentejo (Portugal) and Andalusia — Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC), ADRAL, Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, University of Évora, Nao Victoria Foundation and FEDEME — the aim is to develop the green hydrogen value chain in this cross-border area, promoting and disseminating, through several planned actions, the strengths and capabilities of this energy vector as an industry of the future.

To support this objective, the Futuretech_H2 project includes a comprehensive schedule of actions to be carried out in different phases.

The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain–Portugal (POCTEP) 2021–2027 Programme and will run until 31 March 2026.

Futuretech_H2 has a total budget of €1,366,564.9.
