SoLab Laboratory
SoLab - Laboratory for the development and prototyping of solar technology and energy storage is a transversal infrastructure to support the development, testing and prototyping of solar and energy storage systems.
This laboratory is equipped with a bench with a welding station and smoke extraction for electronic prototyping (with protection against electrostatic discharge), digital oscilloscope, programmable power supply (200V, 10A), 2 bench multimeters, bench power supply , 3D printer (selective printing of two materials), CNC cutting, laser engraving and cutting, 3D paste extrusion, ultrasonic cleaning tank, high resolution thermographic camera, photovoltaic system IV curve plotter, portable hot wire anemometer, electroluminescence test chamber for photovoltaic modules, TIG welding machine, Dremel multifunctional kit, bench vise, cutting saw and sander, profiling and air compressor.
Possible services:
- Prototyping and testing electronics and control systems;
- Prototyping and manufacturing of small solar energy systems (thermal and photovoltaic) or energy storage;
- Photovoltaic module tests, electroluminescence inspection, thermography and electrical characterization;
- Repair tests for photovoltaic modules;
- Testing of Battery Management System (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS) systems.
