The Renewable Energies Chair - University of Évora (CER-UÉ, Portuguese acronym) published seven articles in “CIES2020: As Energias Renováveis na Transição Energética: Livro de Comunicações do XVII Congresso Ibérico e XIII Congresso Ibero-americano de Energia Solar”, on a transversal approach to some key research areas and projects under development.
The articles address different projects such as Enbrain - Building capacity in Renewable and sustainable ENergy for Libya, SHIP - Solar Heat for Industrial Processes, and ALFR-Alentejo - Installation, testing and analysis of an Advanced Linear Fresnel Reflector concentrator for the production of thermo-solar electricity with thermal storage.
The progress made in the evaluation of the solar resource in the south of Portugal, using the DNI-Alentejo project, an analysis of the impact of financing and business models that contribute to the competitiveness of the process heat technologies, and the validation of on-site photovoltaic module repair procedures, are also the subject of three other articles.
The research made in the National Research Infrastructure on Solar Energy Concentration (INIESC), which is a Portuguese experimental infrastructure of reference, in the field of medium and high temperature solar energy technologies and applications, completes the set of communications and articles that CER-UÉ presented at CIES 2020.
