During the meeting, the status and progress of the various planned activities within the project were reviewed. This project is part of the 3rd Call of the Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Interreg VI-A (POCTEP) 2021-2027, which aims to promote green hydrogen as a key industry of the future and to strengthen its supply chain to support the development and expansion of this energy vector.

During the session, topics discussed included the planning and review of the results of Activities 1 to 4, with emphasis on the use of the virtual simulator, the design of training activities, and the implementation of new initiatives yet to be launched, such as the Roadshow. Activity 6 addressed communication-related aspects, including the creation of materials and planned actions under this initiative. Activity 5 focused on the budgetary situation, expense certifications, and planned modifications, in coordination with POCTEP.

This meeting reinforces the project’s commitment to promoting green hydrogen and driving its value chain forward.

Through this project, which is being carried out by a consortium composed of six partners from the Alentejo (Portugal) and Andalusia (Spain) regions – the Advanced Centre for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC), ADRAL, Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, University of Évora, Fundação Não Vitória, and FEDEME – the goal is to develop the green hydrogen value chain in this cross-border area, promoting and disseminating, through various planned actions, the strengths and potential of this energy vector as an industry of the future.

To support this goal, the Futuretech_H2 project includes a comprehensive schedule of actions to be implemented in different phases over the 2023–2025 period.

The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) 2021-2027 Programme and will run until December 31st, 2025.

Futuretech_H2 has a total budget of €1,366,564.90.
