Green Hydrogen training brings together experts at the University of Évora

As part of the FUTURETECH_H2 project, two sessions of the "Green Hydrogen Training Program for Technical Profiles" were recently held—an initiative that brought together experts and trainees to explore the challenges and opportunities in the sector.

The first session took place on June 2nd in an online format, under the theme “New Markets in the Hydrogen Sector.” The training was prepared by the team from the Spanish center CATEC and delivered by researchers João Marchã and Diogo Canavarro from the Renewable Energies Chair at the University of Évora (CER-UÉ).

The second session was held on June 3rd in a hybrid format, combining online and in-person participation at the University of Évora. Titled “Using Solar Energy for Renewable Hydrogen Production,” the session focused on various solar technologies that can be integrated into hydrogen production systems.

It also included a hands-on exercise using a Digital Twin tool of a PEM electrolyzer-based system. At the end of the session, participants visited the CER-UÉ facilities at Herdade da Mitra, where they had the opportunity to learn more about ongoing solar energy research projects.
