AGROVOLTEP Project Meeting in Arroyo de la Luz

The Renewable Energy Chair of the University of Évora, represented by researcher José Silva, attended the technical meeting of the AGROVOLTEP project, that took place on March 11 and 12, 2025, in Arroyo de la Luz, Spain. The event brought together various project partners to review the activities carried out so far and plan the next steps of the project. 

 

During the meeting, progress in the development of agrivoltaic pilot projects in Évora and Arroyo de la Luz was presented. Researcher José Silva highlighted the progress of the action led by the University of Évora, which aims to identify the necessary conditions for the development of efficient pilot projects. Additionally, preliminary results were discussed regarding the action involving the installation of pilot structures and the action focused on testing and evaluating these pilots, also under the responsibility of the University of Évora. 

On the second day of the event, participants had the opportunity to visit the agrivoltaic installation in Arroyo de la Luz. 

The AGROVOLTEP project, co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Spain-Portugal program, aims to promote cross-border agrivoltaics, improving public policies and strengthening the technical capacities of the entire value chain.
