DEBSEUz Project Meeting in Évora
The DEBSEUz project is transforming higher education in Uzbekistan by developing innovative programs in solar energy engineering.

This initiative aims to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the field by introducing bachelor’s degree programs, offering advanced training courses, and upgrading laboratory and co-working facilities to enhance collaboration between academia and industry.

A significant milestone in the project was the Évora Training Sessions held at the University of Évora in Portugal. These sessions provided essential knowledge to prepare future students for the DEBSEUz bachelor’s programs. The training emphasized innovative educational methods, including theoretical lessons, hands-on laboratory work, and group projects.

Participants also visited key research infrastructures of the University of Évora’s Renewable Energy Chair, including the Évora Molten Salts Platform, the Évora Solar Concentrator Testing Platform, the Experimental Grid for Batteries and Photovoltaic Systems, and the Solar Desalination and Water Treatment Platform.

By integrating these efforts, the DEBSEUz project aims to equip a new generation of solar energy professionals, aligning education with global market needs and advancing the role of renewable energy in the transition to a sustainable future.
