Launch of the 4th SFERA-III transnational access campaign

With SFERA-III, benefit from free access to top research infrastructures in Concentrated Solar Thermal power across Europe!

 The 4th SFERA-III access campaign opened on 1st November 2021. This call for projects provides free access to 43 installations of 14 state-of-art research infrastructures in Concentrated Solar Thermal power in 8 countries.

In this context, UEVORA provides access to four CST facilities:

- INIESC: A facility devoted to the testing of real-scale solar concentrators using molten salts has heat transfer fluid and storage media, taking full advantage of the Évora Molten Salt Platform (www.emsp.uevora.pt);

- PECS: An infrastructure for the testing of solar concentrator modules and applications such as process heat or waste water treatment;

- DNI-N: A network of solar stations measuring global, direct and diffuse solar radiation and its statistics. It is composed 12 stations mainly distributed in the southern of Portugal. It can provide data related to solar radiation;

- CER: The Renewable Energies Chair centre can provide services on analysis/certification of solar thermal concentrators, thermal storage, PV and batteries systems, Materials related research and processes in particular dust control deposition in mirrors and covers, Direct Normal Radiation measurements and statistics;
