EERES4WATER 3rd Newsletter

The innovative wave-driven desalination technology system Wave20TM, and a feasibility study that yields conclusive data on operational improvements on the capture of water and energy consumption of the Piedra Santa Desalination Complex by incorporating a floating ‘nearshore’ solar plant, are the main topics of the 3rd EERES4WATER Newsletter.

This newsletter also addresses the new open innovation platform conneCTA, and the Climate Resilience Conference on 16th and 17h March 2021.

The Renewable Energies Chair – University of Évora (CER-UÉ, Portuguese acronym) is one of the two Portuguese member institutions of the international consortium of this project, coordinated by the Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) and co-financed by the INTERREG Atlantic Area programme through the European Regional Development Fund, whose aim is the optimization and management of the water cycle in the Atlantic region (Spain, Portugal, Ireland, France and the United Kingdom).
