PEARL-PV
PEARL-PV publishes 5th Newsletter

The PEARL-PV - Performance and reliability of photovoltaic systems: valuations of large-scale monitoring data (COST Action 16235) project published Newsletter No. 5, this October.

In this issue, a balance of activities is made in the five Working Groups (WG): WG1: PV Monitoring, WG2: PV Reliability and Durability, WG3: PV Simulation, WG4: PV in the Built Environment, WG5: PV in Grids. The team of the Renewable Energies Chair – University of Évora (CER-UÉ) involved in this project participated in several activities, namely in the workshop that took place in Utrecht, between 25 and 27 February.

As COST Action, PEARL-PV is limited by the Covid-19 pandemic, due to circulation restrictions and confinements in several cities and countries, which have reduced opportunities for international travel and the possibility of collaborative research projects. For this reason, it was decided to postpone to 2021 the activities that take place locally and that involve displacement, such as the Seminar and Training in “ Simulation tools and models for the analysis of PV system performance”, which will take place in April 2021, in Transilvania University of Braşov, Romania. In order to promote collaborative participation, online activities such as webinars and workshops are planned.

Program of activities (key dates):

  • 3 November 2020 Webinar – PV Data Sharing
  • December 2020 Webinar – WG3
  • 5 January 2021 Webinar –Topic to be confirmed
  • 2 February 2021 Webinar – WG2
  • 2 March 2021, Webinar – WG4
  • 6 April 2021, Webinar –Topic to be confirmed
  • 12-16 April 2021 - Training School on “Simulation tools and models for the analysis of PV system performance”, Transilvania University of Braşov, Romania
